The word MISSION generally evokes the completion of major works with very significant human, financial and material resources. But a volunteer mission abroad is above all a mission of around three weeks, during which people of all genders, from different backgrounds, from various cultures, religions and nationalities, put together their energy to accomplish something for the benefit of a given community. This collective and voluntary work is all the more important in poor countries, including Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, Guinea and Ghana. A volunteer mission in these countries is an opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds and cultures: in fact it is the place par excellence of giving and receiving which allows everyone to share while respecting the differences of his next ; the opportunity to discover a region, its inhabitants and their culture; the possibility of getting involved in a new form of manual team work for the benefit of local populations for sustainable human development; collective participation in all aspects of group life: cooking, washing dishes, cleaning, fetching water and leisure activities.
In short, participating in a volunteer mission is rewarding training because it leads to: Individual and collective responsibility; respect for others, the ability to express oneself, to listen and to live in a group; solidarity (respect for each person’s capacity and pace). A YOUNG LEADERS INTL ORGANIZATION FOR PEACE & SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, INC. , a mission comes down to four fundamental words: Acceptance, Adaptation, Tolerance and solidarity. It is above all a blending of different cultures; and for the good atmosphere in the group, it takes a lot of concession from all the participants. The community life of the group is therefore everyone's business and everyone must put a little of their own into it for its smooth running.
Type of mission?Our organization offers different types of missions that do not require specific skills. Only motivation, desire, dynamism and solidarity count. Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, Guinea and Ghana welcome you!!!
Our sites are open to all adults, without distinction of sex, religion or nationality. All that counts is the spirit of fraternity and volunteerism. No particular skills are required, except for specific projects. The conditions are as follows:
NB: Any humanitarian stay of between 21 and 30 days is considered a month of mission ($500).

To obtain an entry and residence visa in Togo, contact the Togolese embassy in New York or in your country of residence.
INSURANCE :Bring a copy of the insurance contract, the organization's contact details, as well as your subscriber number for registration at the consulate once on the reception area.
Vaccinations and medications:Vaccination against yellow fever (minimum 1 month before departure) Take treatment against malaria (lariam, malarone, savarine) to see with your doctor, talk about it during your yellow fever vaccination! Reminders of vaccinations required in France up to date (DT Polio for example) For other vaccinations: hepatitis A, B, C, typhoid, Meningitis A, C ask your doctor for advice!
BANK AND EXCHANGEOnly the visa card works in Lomé to withdraw cash from the BTCI bank. All other cards (e.g. MASTER CARD) do not work!
For cash: possibility of exchanging dollars and Euros for CFA francs in many local banks. Concerning travelers checks, you MUST have a receipt from your French bank to be able to exchange them in Lomé.
Volunteering means meeting people, sharing and participating in actions and expressing your ideas and your artistic or cultural desires to put them at the service of collective action in a supportive atmosphere.
