Mr. SINMENOU AGNANKPE Fidèle, Diplomatic Advisor to the President in charge of strategic partnerships , made a working and friendship visit to Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso from November 30 to December 8, 2022. This visit comes following the request of the President Director General from Young Leaders International Organization For Peace & Sustainable Development, Inc. in New York addressed to the head of Burkinabè diplomacy, HE Madame Ragnaghnèwende Olivia ROUAMBA, Minister of Foreign Affairs, regional cooperation and Burkinabè Abroad of the Republic of Burkina Faso , to mark the willingness of the highest authorities of the high country to support the African diaspora for the organization of the International Symposium of Young African Leaders and the Diaspora on the contribution of African youth to the search for positive peace in sub-Sahelian Africa which will take place on September 18 and 19, 2023 on the sidelines of the United Nations ECOSOC High-Level Political Forum 2023 on the SDGs .
During the cordial working session, the Diplomatic Advisor to the President and the Minister of Foreign Affairs discussed issues of interest linked to the emerging cooperation between their country and our institution in various areas of the development of African youth. , to the contribution of young people to the socio-political and security situations in West Africa, to peace and security at the national and sub-regional level as well as to cooperation within the framework of this International Symposium of young leaders of the diaspora in New York, notably at the United Nations headquarters.
As part of the emerging cooperation, the two parties are committed to intensifying contacts both at the government level and between their technical and financial partners with a view to quickly realizing their desire to cooperate within the framework of the realization of this international symposium in New York.
In order to facilitate contacts, HE Madam Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabè Abroad urged the organization to continue activities on the New York side with the permanent mission of Faso and other partners in order to properly organize the symposium. They also intend to accelerate negotiations with a view to ensuring diplomatic mobilization around the event.
The two parties also underlined the need to maintain permanent consultation between them with a view to coordinating their positions on issues of interest linked to youth developments and to support the organization of this international symposium.
At the end of his stay, the Diplomatic Advisor, Mr. SINMENOU AGNANKPE Fidèle expressed the deep gratitude of the President Director General to HE Madam the Minister of Foreign Affairs as well as to the entire Burkinabè government for the warm welcome which he received. was reserved as well as to his delegation.
